19th C.Italian gold leaf frame with carved and applied ornament

Available from Atelier Richard Boerth when we last checked. Sold from the shop’s own store; the price there is the one that counts.

This frame has a foliate sight edge, a flat frieze with a carved ribbon and stick detail rising in a steep cove to a reeded top edge with cross straps. Cove sides have a beaded back edge. Original gilding. The frame has been reduced from its’ original size.
