Late 19th C. American, gold leaf frame with large curling leaves, applied ornament

This frame has a narrow sight edge rising in a cove to a wide flat with large, high relief curling leaves and beaded straps curling around a square stick. Cove sides with a wide egg and dart design at the back edge. Original gilding. No rabbet.
