Highland Park

Up the long grade from the Duwamish flats, Highland Park centers itself at 16th and Holden, with Westcrest Park's dog runs and skyline lookout spread across a lidded city reservoir. The Improvement Club has been throwing the neighborhood's potlucks and work parties since 1919, which tells you most of what you need to know about the place.
