Air Buster for the Sega Genesis is a port of Kaneko's 1990 horizontal arcade shoot-'em-up — one of the most visually accomplished and creatively designed shooters in the Genesis library, and a standout entry in a console generation packed with strong competition in the genre. Two players control the Blaster Fighter starships in their mission to destroy a mysterious mechanical fortress orbiting Earth , battling through six stages of relentless horizontal combat across wildly varied environments.
