Family owned and operated, Poor Ranch has been farmed by the same family since the late 1800’s, making the Poor family one of the first homesteaders in the area to plant wine grapes. Certified organic and dry-farmed, the yields are low and the fruit is impeccable. The inland microclimate means the vines see daily swings of up to forty degrees, allowing a long maturation and retention of acids and complexity in a seemingly warm climate. Half of the fruit remained whole cluster and was added first
